It was a rather lazy weekend for me, so I forced myself to get out for a "long" run today. Due to the vast majority of my neighborhood consisting of hills, a long run for me is about 4 miles. This for me is rather pitiful as I used to double that for my long runs in the Spring. I'm working on it, but hey, I still did it. After about a minute in to my run I realized a long sleeve shirt was not the best choice for the 70 degree weather. With the chance of rain above, I prayed to the rain gods for a good rain to cool me off. Low and behold it worked! Got myself caught in a nice rainstorm!

I actually love running in the rain. No excuses now, you should try it! Here's a few reasons why:
Perks of Running in the Rain
1. You don't get hot.
2. No sweaty mess.
3. You don't have to shower after. (But I suggest you do.)
4. You look like a total badass.
Whenever I see a person running in the rain, I either think "Wow, they're really committed." or "That sucks." Either way, impressive.
With the rest of the rainy afternoon ahead of me, I fixed myself a chai latte to warm up. Simply delicious.
Oh my, Chai!
Chai Latte 1 Chai Teabag
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1 packet stevia (or sweetener)
dash cinnamon
Brew your tea as normal, and add the rest. But you probably knew that already.
I think I'll take the tea's advice and finish my book. Then movie night with the roomie!
